FROM THE EDITOR

Audit to Railway Group Standard GM/RT-2005
An audit was carried out at Burton during April by the British Institute of NDT to Railway Group Standard GM/RT-2005. Only one minor non-conformity was raised. The auditor, referring to the management system, said, "One of the most comprehensive systems of its kind I have seen."

The approval covers site and laboratory services for Ultrasonic, Radiography, Eddy Current, Dye Penetrant and Magnetic Particle testing of Axles, Wheels and assembled Wheel Sets. Well done to all staff involved for maintaining such a high standard, in particular James Bailey.
